One signal. Seven warm neutrals.

Alveon's color system is monochrome plus one. Ember is the only chromatic color. Everything else is black, white, or warm sand. The greys carry a subtle amber undertone at 30-35° hue, giving the system more human warmth without losing technical precision.

02 — The Territorial Rule

Orange is not decoration. Orange is intervention.

Orange marks the point where Alveon happens. The moment of measurement. The site of production. The zone of highest stress. It occupies less than 10% of any composition. But where it appears, it dominates.

Target ratio across all touchpoints. Orange never exceeds 10% of visual surface area. The restraint is what makes it a signal.

RULE 01

Small and precise

Orange works as labels, lines, dots, indicators. It marks. It points. It identifies. It does not fill.

RULE 02

One focal point

Every layout has at most one orange focal point. If orange is everywhere, it is nowhere. Scarcity creates hierarchy.

RULE 03

Exception: full bleed

Orange as background is allowed for singular moments: signage, event identity, physical installations. Never for print documents or digital interfaces.

Every combination, verified.

WCAG 2.1 contrast ratios for all primary pairings. AA requires 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text. AAA requires 7:1 for normal text.

NOTE

Ember on White fails for small text (3.4:1). This is intentional. Ember in the Alveon system is used for labels (9-11px, uppercase, tracked) which qualify as decorative or large text equivalent. For body text, always use Dark or Mid on White. For Ember text on dark backgrounds, contrast passes comfortably (5.0:1 on Dark, 6.2:1 on Black).

Every Alveon layout operates in one of three modes. The mode defines which text colors, which accent treatments, and which contrast pairings are allowed.
