Type Hierarchy
The Alveon type system uses two typefaces in clearly defined roles. Outfit handles everything the audience reads first. JetBrains Mono handles everything that proves what Outfit claims.

The Football Boot Is Broken
Biomechanical Research You Can Wear
Five Truths That Guide Everything We Make
Every stride, every cut, every pivot on the pitch begins with the foot. No two feet are the same. Not in shape. Not in movement. Not in the way they absorb impact or transfer force into the ground. Yet the entire football boot industry builds for the average.
We do not make football boots. We make your football boot.

Pairing Rules
The two typefaces have distinct territories. Outfit leads. JetBrains Mono proves. They meet but never compete.
Outfit territory
Wordmark. Always Outfit 800, always uppercase.
Headlines. The first thing you read. Weights 600-800.
Body text. Explanations, descriptions, long-form content. Weight 400, occasionally 600 for emphasis.
Captions. Image descriptions, figure labels. Weight 400, reduced size.
JetBrains Mono territory
Category labels. Uppercase, small, wide-tracked. The section markers.
Data and measurements. Scan values, dimensions, reference numbers. Mixed case.
Technical annotations. Blueprint layer. Zone codes, player IDs, dates.
Metadata. Document footers, version numbers, timestamps.

Supporting detail or note
This three-line pattern repeats throughout the system. Uppercase mono for category. Medium mono for value. Light mono for context. Consistent rhythm everywhere.

Rules
Typography is the brand until there is product in market. These rules protect it.
Do
ALVEON
Wordmark always in Outfit 800, uppercase, with 0.1em tracking.
Don't
Alveon
Never set the wordmark in mixed case, light weight, or without tracking.
Do
Scan Protocol
Medial arch height: 32.4mm
Use mono for labels (uppercase) and data values (mixed case).
Don't
Scan Protocol
Medial arch height: 32.4mm
Never use Outfit for labels or technical data. That is mono territory.
Do
The Athlete Comes First
Every decision begins and ends with the athlete.
Headlines in mixed case, body in regular weight. Clear visual hierarchy.
Don't
THE ATHLETE COMES FIRST
EVERY DECISION BEGINS AND ENDS WITH THE ATHLETE.
Never set everything uppercase and bold. All-caps is reserved for the wordmark and display headlines only.
Do
Use Outfit 600 for inline emphasis within body text. One weight step up, same typeface.
Emphasis through weight, not through decoration.
Don't
Use underlines, italics, or colored bold text for emphasis in body copy.
No underlines. No italics. No colored emphasis in running text.

Desktop + Web licenses
GT America Extended has the same geometric DNA as Outfit but with more optical refinement, better hinting, and a wider weight range. Sohne Mono from Klim is the reference standard for technical typography. Both foundries offer startup-friendly licensing. The switch requires no structural changes to the system. Same weights, same rules, same hierarchy. Just better curves.
